Scheduled Personal Property

🏠 Home & Property

Specific high-value items (jewelry, art, cameras, collectibles) listed and insured for agreed amounts — often with no deductible.

Scheduled personal property is coverage for specific high-value items — jewelry, art, cameras, collectibles, musical instruments — listed individually on your policy and insured for agreed amounts.

Standard home and renters policies cap categories like jewelry and cash at low “special limits,” and pay on an actual-cash-value basis with a deductible. Scheduling an item overrides those limits: it’s covered for its full appraised value, usually worldwide, often with no deductible, and against more causes of loss (including mysterious disappearance).

If you own anything worth well beyond the special limits, scheduling it — backed by a recent appraisal or receipt — is the difference between a fully covered loss and a disappointing partial one.
