Business Owner's Policy (BOP)

💼 Business

A tidy bundle of general liability + commercial property (often + business income) for small businesses. Convenient and usually cheaper together.

A business owner’s policy bundles the two coverages most small businesses need — general liability and commercial property — into one convenient, usually cheaper package. Many BOPs also fold in business income coverage.

It’s designed for lower-risk small businesses like shops, offices, and many service firms. Buying the pieces together typically costs less than buying them separately, and it’s simpler to manage one policy.

As a business grows or takes on specialized risk, a BOP is often the starting point that gets supplemented with things like workers’ comp, commercial auto, professional liability, or cyber coverage.
